Actually, many many politicians use children. How many school bond issues are passed because “It’s for the children?” The truth is the school districts can’t keep a budget so they need overrides (rather like the feds, in that respect.) Then too, there are the bazillions of pictures of pols kissing babies. Reagan did it, Bush did it, Clinton and Obama did it as did every ocal office candidate a in the world. Michelle Obama’s (she’s a politician-by-marriage) food fiats are “for the health of our children.” So grade-schoolers get green onions for snacks; that really thrilled the kids.
Digusting? Yes. But the tactic works with the masses because they don’t bother to look behind the curtain (of children) to truths beyond.

Have you ever noticed in pictures how children would recoil from Hitler when he would bend over and touch them, or talk to them? Hitler's own German Shepherd dog, Blondi, would recoil when Hitler would put up his hand to pet her..I caught that in a few pictures that I've seen.
