Thanks for the feel good story. I wonder if indeed the bad guys were armed?

Even if they weren’t - this is Texas - and you have a right to shoot burglars on your property.

Imagine if this had happened in some blue state with oppressive gun laws. The poor home-owner would be jailed and convicted.

In most states the shooter would go to prison and the “victim’s” family would get a pay out for hurting their son who was just getting his life turned around.

I take great offense in this line:

“Officers said the shooter”

He wasn’t a “shooter” he was a citizen defending himself and his property.

“Shooter” is a buzzword to make anyone who defends themselves “seem” to be a “criminal”.
