it's conceivable we could get another 25 or 30 Republican senators appointed there to replace fallen Democrats ~ which is, of course, a worst case situation, but it is feasible ~ so don't say it's not possible for the Senate to convict.

You have a dustup a bit more serious than the Whiskey Rebellion, but much less so than the Civil War, all sorts of things can happen.

I doubt your top Democrat crew will stay at the helm if something happens ~ you'll see Cuomo and his crowd leave the country ~ sail back to Sicilia more than likely, and their two goober senators will flee right behind them although Chucky might try again to convince the Israelis that he's really Jewish so they gotta' let him in ~ lotsa luck Chucky ~ nobody believes you on that score!

Not if the sheep don't wake up, and the Obama regime and the media are working very hard to portray themselves as the protectors of the citizenry against the crazy gun owners. A few violent incidents of resistance will actually help Obama. There needs to be massive civil disobedience, preferably millions in the street around the White House peacefully to stop what Obama has planned.
