We had essentially the same turnout in 2012 that we did in 2008 ~ there is little difference ~ maybe a smaller Mormon turnout if anything.

The big drop off was from George Bush to McCain ~ there was no uptick to Romney of any real consequence.

Your problem is the party's more leftwing types, who demand all the power positions in the RNC, didn't turn out the vote.

The Republican party would show up with about 9 million voters if they lost the Conservatives!

Not that it matters; but here was my preference in the GOP Primary:

1) Palin (had she decided to run)
2) Cain
3) Bachmann
4) Newt/Perry
5) Santorum
6) Romney

I didn't bother to place the remaining few.

I would've voted for whomever won the primary. Anybody would've been a plus over a Marxist.
