If there was a Republican who was polling at more than 5% you can be sure the media would make sure you’d know they were a Republican.
And while you might think non-partisan races would help, they have not since no Republican has ran since 1995. Before that we had a guaranteed spot on the general election ballot, no reason not to slate someone like they do for all the country offices.
So I must conclude, non-partisan election=bad.
