Christian Pfeiffer is the left-leaning, scumbag darling of the left-leaning German media, like Der Spiegel, whenever they feel the need to cite a ‘criminology expert’. (Big time muzzie apologist as well.)

(Would you cite Piers Morgan as an expert source on gun control issues?)

(And, I don’t see why folks keep posting Spiegel material here as if it were a credible news source. Other than for slanderous purposes, of course.)

If you don't count aggregator sites like T-Online, Web.de etc. and the Bild tabloid, Spiegel.de is by far Germany's biggest mainstream news outlet on the web. And it's one of only a few with an English section - The Frankfurter Allgemeine can no longer afford one. When it comes to news about Germany there aren't that many alternatives. Yes, there are blogs, but many tend to jump the shark after a while, e.g. by getting lost in feuds with other bloggers.

If I understand it correctly, the catholics first gave Pfeiffer the task of investigating and then realized he was not the right man for the job. In that case he's a central figure and a quote in an article seems rather logical than biased.
