I don’t know if you’re intentionally missing the point, or if you just can’t see it.

They scouted, drafted and used Tebow. When used he won games, inspired teammates, and went to the playoffs where he WON again.

He has SHOWN that he can be effective in the NFL.

All of the above means that every other comment is irrelevant until Tebow is given another chance. It also can be used as evidence that something ELSE is preventing his being used, for example, his religion.

From Bill Cosby and the OrlandoSentinel about Tim Tebow:

““I like the way that team plays football and all of these people who don’t understand it tell ‘em to c’mon and beat him. Because it’s football ‘boom, boom.’ And tell Tim [Tebow], I said don’t worry about what all of these people are saying, just show him old films of Joe Kapp, Minnesota Vikings. Football played.”

Maybe old Cosby has a point about comparing Joe Kapp and Tim Tebow’s unorthodox styles.

They scouted, drafted and used Tebow.

Yes, in the hopes he could be coached into learning the fundamentals necessary to succeed as a franchise QB. He couldn't or wouldn't learn those things. Anyone can look at the game film and see Tebow's mechanics are terrible - and never improved sufficiently to make him a starter.

When used he won games, inspired teammates, and went to the playoffs where he WON again.

He was winning ugly, and there was no future in it. How are you not getting that? Sometimes bad players win some games. There are lots of washed out, mediocre players that hung around in the NFL long enough to have a winning streak or two - that doesn't mean they were good, it means the team was winning in spite of them (of course no one would say that at the time).

Every single NFL franchise wants, and will do almost anything, to win - including break rules, sign retreads, pay insane guaranteed money, etc. It is possible, even perhaps likely, that NO team will sign Tebow next season. And if he signs somewhere, he will probably not be a starting QB in the future. Every single argument you make is entirely wiped out by these facts. You are not a better scout, coach or GM than what even bad NFL teams have.

Tebow is a winning personality, he works hard, he has a great attitude, but he isn't a good NFL QB. If he'd accept that, he might be able to still play football in some other capacity. A lot of teams would probably love to have a 3rd string QB that did more than stand around on the sidelines on clipboard duty. Tebow could possibly be a backup QB that doubled as a TE or something in specific packages. As a backup though, he couldn't be in the spotlight. He'd have to really make an effort to keep from attracting media attention.
