Some, probably. But the reality is Tim Tebow is simply not an NFL caliber quarterback. He's got a great attitude, a winning personality, etc, but he doesn't have the actual mechanics, skill, etc, for an NFL team to build their franchise around. Tebow might be great as a tight end who is willing to play QB if needed, but that is not what Tim wants - he thinks he can be a starting NFL QB and no team sees that in him. The NFL is about min/maxing. Especially for the QB position, they are not looking for a "rudy" jack of all trades type person - they are looking for the absolute best they can get. Tebow isn't it.
Kind of reminds me of Kordell Stewart. When he was playing as "Slash," for the Steelers he was an incredibly versatile and dynamic player and his mere presence threw an opposing defense of balance. He may be a QB on one play, show up as a WR on the next, and then punt if the team failed to convert.
...But he insisted on being a full time, starting QB, and his career tanked.
Guys like Russell Wilson RGIII (although RG has been ridiculed for not being a “real” brother). The networks hardly show it, but there are a lot of Christian athletes who gather and pray together after each game.
Not to take away from him, but Tebow has, in part, followed the well-worn path of attention getting. Notice how many new quarterbacks very publicly start dating some attractive starlet... and then very publicly break up

Mark Sanchez - Eva Longoria
Tim Tebow - Camilla Belle
As a Christian myself, it's probably not wholly accurate to say that Tebow is getting picked on because of his faith.
I’m personally convinced that much of the animosity toward Tebow is religion related.
It CANNOT be about his football skills. He’s one of the most successful college quarterbacks ever.
Moreover, he is totally unique in my memory in this regard:
He led what was a losing team to the playoffs, won his first playoff game, and then spent the following year totally unused.
In my mind, it’s impossible to say that Tebow is not an NFL caliber quarterback because the one time he had a chance to play, he succeeded all the way to the 2nd round of the post-season.
That is not true of Andy Dalton, RGBIII, and Andy Luck. It’s not true of Tony Romo.
My sense is that he should get a chance.
I’m a Bills fan, so didn’t see many Tebow games until he got close to the playoffs with Denver.
All I know is that the Bills have suffered through about 5 NFL quarterbacks over their last 13 playoff-less years. Tebow is certainly no worse than the likes of Trent Edwards or Ryan Fitzpatrick - and each of them got nearly at least 2 or 3 years to make it or fail in the NFL. Tebow has also won playoff games - as a rookie. Look at any other mediocre team - and you will see the same churning of mediocre QB’s, Cleveland, Oakland, Kansas City.
Tebow is the most over-analyzed QB I have ever seen. Many worse QB’s have have been given much longer times as a starter. Without a doubt, GM’s are afraid of the publicity/controversy Tebow would bring.
