Sadly, it won’t work that way. Called a process crime: Federal officer or federally-deputized officers asks a question of you as a person of interest (owner of a gun should do it) and you tell an untruth, i.e. boating accident etc. You are subject to 3-5 in a Fed lockup for the untruth. Don’t believe me, ask Martha Stewart.
My point though poorly made is: whatever federal officer ( Barney Fife or real one) will ask the question and purposely walk away knowing he will not put his life on the line forcing a gun owner to volunteerly give up his guns....

Don’t lie to them. Just say nothing. You are not obligated to answer any questions, though giving your name and address is okay. Other than that, you really don’t have to say shit. If they get uppity, tell them you are not being difficult, but you feel you are being intimidated and that you will only answer questions through your attorney.
