Between Freerepublic and Drudge, I feel we are under seige. Obama and his minions insult and disparage hard working, law abiding citizens every day. They refuse to give on spending, but take more and more. Now all this talk on gun control, gun confiscation, etc. Almost seems that O and his minions are pushing conservative Americans, perhaps hoping to provoke a disaster so they can take the guns and declare martial law. Perhaps this is what Glenn Beck fears. I hope no one falls for this. Although such a situation can be manufactured with a willing media.
I sense an “angry backlash” is coming.
Please understand that it is not possible to disarm or overwhelm the American public through force.
There are close to 100 million American gun owners who possess an estimated 300 million firearms. The combined might of federal forces, including uniformed military personnel, number about 1.5 million. That's close to a 100 to 1 advantage held by The People.
It's even worse than that, because the majority of those in the U.S. military will not obey an order to disarm American citizens. The moment such an order was given, there would be a wholesale breakdown of authority within the military ranks, with the faction choosing to obey such an unlawful order being quickly arrested and/or killed by those remaining loyal to the Constitution.
The CIC would likely be arrested shortly thereafter, and charged with treason. He'd never live to see another day as a free man.
