But how would that explain the govt. and private physicians urging people to get flu shots during the Bush years?

By “conspiracy nut” I assume you mean intelligent, logical thinking individual?

Conspiracies have, with the MSM’s help over the years, proven the most efficient way of doing tyranny’s business; why would anyone expect them to abandon them now?

A reality nut might think that the strain of flu that's spreading wasn't included in this year's vaccine. The WHO tries to anticipate what strains are likely to hit and create a vaccine in time to get it into the channel so people can get the shot. I think I've already read this strain slipped in under the radar.
