The stench in the ZerO cabinet gets stronger.

Just wait, I hear that Christine Gregoire, former governor of WA, is being considered for head of the EPA.

Gregoire earned her Obama creds by supporting sub-bituminous coal terminals in WA State, against the wishes of her friends and supporters in WA, saying that she was under tremendous pressure from the Obama administration.

These sub-bituminous coal terminals will be another government money pit, requiring constant government subsidies because the sub-bituminous coal only sells for $12.35/ton, and that’s a good price. You cannot build terminals and docks to ship a commodity that only sells for $12.35/ton (and trending down), let alone make upgrades to the railroads that will carry the coal (Warren Buffet’s BNSF), but that is Obama’s plan and Gregoire has been facilitating it, no matter the negative environmental impacts to WA State.

Just wait, it is rumored that Obama is about to appoint the former governor of WA state to head the EPA. There could not be more politically mired candidate for the office, it would be impossible.

While earning the strong backing of the WA State environmentalists, she has come out in support of Obama’s new sub-bituminous coal ports and terminals, saying that she was just under so much pressure from the Obama administration, that she had to do it. (that’s what she told the Sierra club). The truth about the coal ports and terminals is that new ports cannot be built without government money, yours and mine, because sub-bituminous coal only sells for $12.35 / ton and costs more to ship than it is worth. A new coal port will be like another Solyndra or Shepherds Flat wind farm, but Gregoire is behind it all the way, even if it is an environmental disaster for her home state.
