He is first cousin to American actress, Lauren Bacall, who was born Betty Jean Persky. She is the widow of Humphrey Bogart. She resides in NYC.
Bacall, age 89, describes herself as being "anti-Republican" and being a liberal "which is the best thing on earth you can be....you do not have a small mind."
She supported Adlai Stevenson and Robert Kennedy as a speech maker in their presidential campaigns. She and Bogie were prominents members of the left-wing Hollywood community during the McCarthy era....and were ardent anti-McCarthyites as a couple.
