The LSM will never report gang bangers shooting each other up even if they used M1 tanks and RPGs. Let another nut shoot up somewhere with a full auto and that will be a different story.
You don’t think the gangbangers wouldn’t use such firepower in more productive ways like bank robbery or armored car heists?
Or that the “news” wouldn’t portray the victims of such infighting as “aspiring rap stars who were turning their lives around and trying to take care of children” or some other crap?
I listened to “Freakonomics.” The most interesting part was about the economics of running a drug gang. If the example he gave was typical, the margin just isn’t there for automatic weapons. Too much money has to go “up the chain” to bosses.
I could be way wrong, but I don’t think there are that many illegal fully automatic weapons loose in the US.
