"Today, it is easier in California to buy bullets than it is to buy alcohol, cigarettes or Sudafed cold medicine. We've had enough," she said...

Really? I have never been asked for ID to buy Sudafed or any other cold medicine. Even when I was 16, I was never asked for ID to purchase cigarettes (that has apparently changed since I was 16). And, I can't tell you the last time someone asked me for ID when I purchased alcohol. However, buying ammunition in California has been very difficult. There are more days that the ammo I need is not in stock than there are days in which the ammo is in stock.

“Really? I have never been asked for ID to buy Sudafed”

Have you bought Sudafed lately? You have to present a picture ID, sign a form and then they go get it. You are limited to one purchase in a 30 day period elso you go an a “list”. Courtesy the US Patriot Act.
