The players still haven’t ratified the CBA. I think the schedule will be released on the heels of that.
Here’s what I think is tentatively set for Jan. 19
WEST
Blackhawks @ Kings
Flames @ Oilers
Avalanche @ Wild
Red Wings @ Blues
Ducks @ Canucks
Coyotes @ Stars
Blue Jackets @ Predators
Odd team out: Sharks
EAST
Penguins @ Flyers
Capitals @ Lightning
Rangers @ Bruins
Maple Leafs @ Canadiens
Senators @ Jets
Devils @ Islanders
Hurricanes @ Panthers
Odd team out: Sabres
Shameless hockey ping!
If any of you get a chance to look, I will be attending the only outdoor hockey game this year, in Hershey, watching the Penguins and Bears play. Even though I’m a Bears season ticket holder, I’ll be rocking my Penguins gear!

It is either watch Philly vs Buffalo while waiting for the 49er game to come on or squeeze my dogs anals.
Here boy, come here, daddy won’t hurt you.
I’ve always said that in order for a city to qualify for an NHL franchise, they must have an annual average of snowfall..and ice fishing on their nearby lakes.
That would disqualify Vancouver. So, no. But I agree with what I think is your main point. It was a mistake to expand to areas which never had a hockey tradition. To that I would add...while excluding other areas that have had a strong hockey culture for years.
Heck...*Minnesota* went without an NHL team for seven years. Winnipeg lost the original Jets...to Phoenix! Meanwhile, there are two teams in Florida.
Vancouver gets snow doesn't it? I mean, if they get snow then we can over look the perch fishing thru the ice......
A dusting now and then. Not much.
They do get some ice sometimes, too. They built a new bridge, apparently having forgotten about this. So a bunch of cars’ windshields were broken by ice falling off the supports.
Oops.
