We as a people seem to now be wondering if our Congress will ever do anything right. We saw the article posted by Tim Brown entitled, “Ten New Gun Bills Introduced On First Day of Congress”. We then began reading, only to see names that looked funny doing this, so we looked up to find out just who these people are that have placed such bills on the floor of the House. Strange to say, the first one by Rep. Carolyn McCarthy (D-NY) is purely due to what happened to her life. Her husband was shot back in 1993 and since then gun laws have come and gone with no difference at all made, except possibly for the worst. It has to be noted that the individual that killed Rep. McCarthy’s husband had already broken several laws so how are any additional laws going to stop people from obtaining guns or other weapons?

Those inciting violence with threats of blatantly taking away our Constitutional right to bear arms, given to us as a means to overthrow a tyrannical government, will be remembered as the tyrants responsible for any violence that results from this oppression that is against everything this nation was built on. They will instigate the murder of American citizens, but will flee the country if any of that violence they created gets anywhere near them.

Obama's knee jerk response to the mass shootings in Newtown Conn. with clear threats to our Second Amendment....Obama swore to protect the United States Constitution not render it impotent or further abuse that document. There is so much (hypocracy) from those with bully pulpits to speak from. When a government tries to remove private arms from its citizens, citizens must determine when to remove that government........for their own safety. Tyranny does not wait long.......

Really? When? I don't recall seeing him take the Presidential Oath as specified in the US Constitution. I seem to recall that they stumbled thru something that sort of sounded similar to the Oath, and there were subsequent reports that they "did it for real later." I say BS.

It wasn’t knee jerk. The left waits for massacres (and they will always be with us) to tighten down the ratchet on guns. While they are waiting, they pretend not to be anti-gun. Obama’s “I’m not going to take your guns away” stance for the last four years was a lie. It just meant he was waiting for the right moment. Kind of the way Muslims do peace. Peace is used as preparation for the next war.
