Obama's first inauguration was a hopey-changey symphony of populist parties, balls, concerts, and ceremonies----just ordinary people getting togethert to celebrate.
In those halcyon days, Obama adamantly refused (so he said) to take money from lobbyists, corporate, and other, Big Money interests. No way.
However, this time around the enthusiasm level for the (cough) populist Obama has---shall we say---"waned." He's even having trouble getting people to attend his inaug.
Ergo, Obama's corporate/Big Money ban was changed. Monied interests are now welcome with open arms.....and a list of big corporate donors who contributed.....thus far....was released.
The Public Citizen watchdog group is not pleased with Obama taking Big Money: Its very unfortunate and quite a reversal of what this president says he stands for.
Oh, yeah......a reversal? So what else is new?
