Hey Steely its not G-d.Its G O D. Why you treat it like most do cuss words here?

Because I'm not comfortable typing it, for reasons I can't really articulate.

I don't know how "most do cuss words here." I thought most people write them as *%$^# or some such.

You’re right. One of the reasons Free Republic remains a place I like to go to is the relative absence of commonly written vulgarisms. Not that I’m a prude; I have tossed a few F bombs around with the best of them. However, it’s nice to have intelligent discussion in which people actually use adjectives and adverbs that have nothing to do with excretory or sexual function or questionable parentage. Or all three.

I can also respect you typing “G-d” as you do. I’m Jewish, and those of us I know about who are faithful are asked not to mention the name of the creator - and your wording is quite like their own.

I sometime act in the role of grammar police - I’m a high school English teacher in my real life - but how you worship and express it is your business alone.

If someone wants vulgarisms and swear words, pop into any liberal website like the Daily Kos or the Democrat Underground. It’s excruciatingly dull with the constant repetition of swear words, as well as demonstrating a lack of intelligence. IMHO
