Well yes and no.
No because the guy does pay his own money for his flood insurance through FEMA and he's complaining that FEMA is dragging their feet.
But yes, FEMA and the US Government should be out off the flood insurance biz. If somebody can't get flood insurance from a private company then they shouldn't be living in such a flood prone area.
Although we were spared the brunt of the storm in the Cape May and Wildwood communities, I can tell you many of us at the Jersey shore pay their own way through private insurance. I have a modest home and pay $1500/year just for flood insurance. I don't understand why FEMA gets involved at all. If you can't afford the insurance, then you can't afford the home - sell it.
