The good news out of all this is that Chris Christie is finished for 2016. He will never be the GOP nominee.

There is scientific agreement that human-induced global warming is melting the ice caps and glaciers and will soon lead to catastrophic rising of ocean levels.

Since we are convinced of this, why would we invest $70B in a sea-side community that will likely be innundated when the ocean invariably rises?

The land in and around NYC should be allowed to revert back to its original condition. Throw out all the humans and allow nature to reclaim its own.

You voted for environmentalism, you get environmentalism, Praise be to Gaia.

This shows you how little the Senators think about money for Sandy. They had to load it with pork to get everyone in on it.

... it behooved Boehner to make sure people like Peter King and other House Republicans from New York and New Jersey were on board with his strategy. This sounds like a communication problem, as well as a timing issue, and both of those problems point back to the leadership.

Boehner, McConnell in particular and the repubs in general have, have always had this problem. At least since Reagan.
Apparently Boehner didn't even consult the politicians most intimately involved let alone the public.
That's my beef with Boehner and McConnell.

I've been crowing about this since Bush the younger.
