I like you’re idea about recall threats. Do you have any specific dems in mind? I am an attorney in Springfield, work just minutes away from the IL board of elections, and would be delighted to stir up a little anxiety for the local gun grabbers. But I am not sure who to pick on. Any ideas?

I can’t be of much help there, in that I live far away from Illinois, and know little of local politics. But I would hazard to guess that the Republican party likely has a list of possible pick-up seats, based both on constituency and money.

They would also be very interested if recall campaigns are mentioned, as such recalls require candidates to run against the incumbents.

While I considered this as just a threat against sitting Democrats, to persuade them to not vote for the gun bill, it could into tangible recalls if the Republicans opt-in to challenging them.
