Verizon has a land line substitute for $20 a month, called Wireless Home Phone Connect with nationwide unlimited calling. Presumably regular price, not a promotional gimmick.
I had been paying around $60 or more to AT&T for the same thing for the last few years.
I have had Dish, then Direct TV and then cable. I will never use any of them again, have not signed anything, just downgraded.
I will use my Cell phone as primary #, then check out Magic Jack.
I have WiFi, and getting a Tablet, then Nintendo Wii, I'm set for most anything then.
Paying $80 for 250 channels of NOTHING but shop at home shows/music/soaps/NO DATA/ is not my cup of tea any more. Some News, but I will not miss the FOX liberal show.
