NEW YORK - Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton was seen leaving the main hospital building where she has been recovering from a blood clot for four days to visit the Edward S. Harkness Eye Institute before returning again to the hospital Wednesday.
The secretary of state had been speaking with her staff and reviewing paperwork from the hospital, the State Department said Wednesday, as doctors continue to monitor Clinton’s progress and her response to blood thinners intended to dissolve the clot. Aides emphasized that the secretary remained engaged with staff.
