The House of Representatives late Tuesday easily approved emergency bipartisan legislation sparing all but a sliver of America’s richest from sharp income tax hikes -- while setting up another “fiscal cliff” confrontation in a matter of weeks.
Lawmakers voted 257-167 to send the compromise to President Barack Obama to sign into law. Eighty-five Republicans and 172 Democrats backed the bill, which had sailed through the Senate by a lopsided 89-8 margin shortly after 2 a.m. Opposition comprised 151 Republicans and 16 Democrats.
Republican House Speaker John Boehner voted in favor of the deal, as did House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan, his party's failed vice presidential candidate. But Republican House Majority Leader Eric Cantor and Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy voted against it.

Primary challenges and third-party candidates will destroy the Party in 2014.

I respect Dr. Coburn. I don’t like all of the bill but it lowered my taxes so I can’t argue that one point with him...at least my income taxes.
The TZ episode on now is the one about the bank robbers who make off with a haul of gold bars, put themselves to sleep for a hundred years, then awake when the `heat’s off’ to find that gold is worth—One billion dollars an ounce!
No, it turns out that in the 21st century gold is worthless, a base metal.

Just filled out registration to un-affiliate. I’m done.
It will be hard to see where the tire tracks end on these Rino Monkeys
on the fiscal cliff vote and the new tire tracks begin on the debt ceiling.
Just ended, and I missed most of it but it is an interesting note on current events.
What weirds me out is that Govs have been swindling each other with gold bars filled with tungsten.
If the big guys are doing that to each other, what are they doing to us?

Well, that’s about what’s happened here.
We had a slim chance of saving this country before the election....we failed, it’s over.
This is no longer my America, this is not the country I grew up in.
The MSM cartel has broken our backs and our gutless leaders have failed us.
I wish success for all of those that believe our country can be taken back, but I no longer believe that it can be done with a ballot.... not anymore.
