Anderson Cooper, Kathy Griffin double down debasing CNN brand two nights straight
New Year’s Eve one thing, New Year’s night show worse
This isn’t about politics. It’s about a cable channel letting one of its highest visibility show hosts and its brand be debased — not once but twice. First on New Year’s Eve, and then again on Cooper’s Tuesday night show. To me, the Tuesday night performance was even worse.
When I saw Griffin first kiss Cooper’s crotch and listened to all her shock-jock double entendre crap surrounding it New Year’s Eve, I had two thoughts.
First, Jeff Zucker can’t take over fast enough at CNN, which seems to have utterly lost its grip with stuff like this.
And second, maybe Cooper’s image is bulletproof, but how much of this silliness can he keep indulging before people start to say, “Hey, maybe this is who this guy really is a giggling clown, not a newsman”?
So, why am writing about it now if I made that vow on New Year’s Eve not to?
Because Tuesday night, Cooper had Griffin back on his show, and the two acted like a couple of adolescents celebrating how naughty they had been the night before. And this went on a long, long time, with video highlights and Cooper letting Griffin plug her next junky special.
Anderson appeared horrified and embarrassed by this skank. I don’t know why some of you are bashing him. From these clips I don’t see him having done anything wrong. But she is SICK. I was watching the other channel with my kids. They do not need to see this whore on a New Year’s Eve show.
No, it really is. I have yet to figure out why sanctimonious liberal n00bies go on threads about subjects they disdain to point out how much better they are than FReepers.
If this n00b thinks he is the first to point out on a TV related thread how superior he is to everyone else here because he doesn’t have a TV he is not. It is a typical childish liberal trait and I have never gotten an answer from one as to why they do it.
I was hoping fungus would be the first unless perhaps you can answer the question. You are defending it so maybe you can explain it.
As to the bubbly remark don’t project, it is classless and not FR worthy.

Those “I ain’t got no TV ‘cause I’m too good to watch it” types bug me, also. How many times do they have to chime in about some TV event if they can’t see it?
