I was just reading some interesting “facts” about Chicago in 2012.

The murder rate, as we all know, is at an all-time high.

But that number is skewed because medical assistance has been so incredible at saving lives.

The real number we should look at is the number of aggravated assaults. This number tells you more about homocide attempts than the actual death count.
