Tip from the inner workings of the medical establishment conspiracy: TOP guys don't comment to the press on patients they haven't treated. They also don't comment to the press on patients they HAVE seen. They are therefore pretty much unknown, except to their brother wizards.
And if a TOP guy catches the fame bug? He ceases to be one, pretty quickly.

Nobel Prize for Medicine, 2013. This guy is a genius! "Near your brain", now that's a relative word if I've ever heard one. A blood clot in one's nose is fairly "near" one's brain.
I'm no neurosurgeon but I'm pinging one.
