This has been explained 9million times on here.

The high rate is due to the fact that the UK has so many crimes classified as violent, which are crimes of theft or other classifications in other countries.

The UK has at least 28 different crimes classed as violent.

Taking a ship out in dangerous weather against the crew’s wishes is classed as a minor assault charge here. I kid you not.

Brits have a more liberal definition for a violent crime than the United States. British large cities (I’ve walked around a number of them) are much more safer than American large cities....that’s a fact.
