Former Conservative Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher has left hospital after having a growth removed from her bladder, sources have told the BBC.
She is said to be doing well after a minor operation to remove the growth.
The 87-year-old, who has suffered from ill health in recent years, was admitted last week and is thought to have left hospital on Friday.
The BBCs Norman Smith says Baroness Thatcher is understood to be convalescing privately.

That’s good news as I wasn’t sure she was even alive anymore.
Best wishes for a full & speedy recover, Mrs Thatcher.
BTW, I did notice that while the concurrent hospitalizations of President George H. W. Bush (Hard to ignore...it would have been awkward for the media had he died without prior coverage.) and Nelson Mandela (a liberal icon) were comprehensively covered by the U.S. networks, I heard not a single mention of Mrs. Thatcher’s hospitalization. I only saw it covered HERE, on Free Republic.
Checking the ABV on my beverages...
They named the growth David Cameron.
Then again he is not worthy of being a pimple on the Iron Lady’s behind!
Growth hasn’t been allowed in England for a long time.
Heck, it was probably just a third ball. Maybe she can loan Obama one of hers, now. :)
GOD BLESS LADY THATCHER!
