Kind of a pointless mental exercise. Massachusetts could declare war on Texas, but they would never get me and many, many other conservative country-dwellers to fight against Texans. Colorado may be a blue state now, but I highly doubt most of its residents would do battle against Dakotans.

It would be conservative/country vs. liberal/city, not a simple state vs. state.

And California would have to get through Arizona to get to Texas. To give you an idea of what that would entail, let me illustrate what Arizona's gun laws are like at this time.

When a traveler enters the State of Arizona, he must stop at the border inspection station. The Arizona border inspectors don't ask whether the traveler is carrying fruit or other agricultural contraband. Rather, the traveler is asked if he is carrying a firearm. If the answer is "no", the inspector assigns him one for himself and each passenger in the car.
