Cattelan caused controversy in Warsaw in 2000 when another gallery showed his work 'La Nona Ora' - 'The Ninth Hour' - which depicts Pope John Paul II being crushed by a meteorite.

I get the idea that this artist blames Christianity for all of the bad things in the world.

His statue of Hitler might be interpreted as Adolph asking for Divine forgiveness. Somehow, I doubt that it was anything more than provocation for its own sake, though.
