All great presidential have a ton of operational experience. Obama has no operational experience.

He even had a plan in mind, which he revealed in a letter to Grant. When Grant sprung the surprise that trapped the Confederates, he also surprised Lincoln, who admiringly conceded to Grant that he was wrong and Grant was right. He knew then he had a commander like Robert E..Lee to match Lee.
