I agree. Going over the fiscal cliff is the only plan on record that comes close to erasing the deficit.

I'd be happy to see just about every government program shut down. However, it's 100-to-1 odds that after all is said and done, the affected government workers will be paid full back wages for any time they were furloughed.

The Republican strategy should be to go over the cliff, and then fight tooth and nail to keep most of those programs shut down forever.

If we tried something like this I’d be worried when we finally unlocked the door we’d find them copulating on the chamber floor, especially if alcohol was involved.
