The 2nd amendment also does not mention anything about deranged or psychologically damaged people>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Correct. And the right to defend one’s life does not depend on anyone proving they are NOT crazy.People are assumed to be sane. Teachers who are hired by a schoolboards are assumed to be sane.

As a matter of fact, despite yout faulty logic, you also are assumed to be sane.

And there should be no “comprehensive” tests or checks on any teacher who wants to have the benefit of being armed. There should be training however, and periodic qualification of training standards.

Even conservatives these days find it challenging not to be liberals who think the world has to proove itself sane before anyone in it can even get a bus ticket.

This is nothing about being liberal or conservative when it comes to gun ownership.

Fact is that, a deranged or psychologically damaged teacher should not be teaching in the first place. Chances are that, that kind of screening is not done right now, or is lacking in comprehensiveness. The idea behind the screening for the teachers is not to keep them from owning or using guns; it’s for the protection of the children from teachers, whether they own guns or not. A teacher is in a special situation, and the children should not be exposed to someone who could create havoc in their lives. Screening those teachers would bring out problems which otherwise would have gone unnoticed from the beginning.
