Comfortable: Bush is staying at Methodist Hospital in Houston and has promised 'not to get too grumpy' for the extended visit to the hospital
A persistent fever that kept former President George H.W. Bush in a hospital over Christmas has gotten worse, and doctors have put him on a liquids-only diet, his spokesman said Wednesday.
Jim McGrath, Bush's spokesman in Houston, had said earlier in the day that the fever had gone away, but he later corrected himself.
'It's an elevated fever, so it's actually gone up in the last day or two,' McGrath told The Associated Press. 'It's a stubborn fever that won't go away.'
Its crazy to think there is a MSM conspiracy to withhold information on Bush Sr.

Does Benghazi ring a bell?
I agree with you. And that was so well said.
That is not true and I have no idea why you would say that. When he passes, we will hear from the family.
And that is not true either. Good grief. I am going to go outside to find a stick to stick in my eye to relieve me of this pain. Why would you SAY that???? Good grief....
He does not want your guns...or mine. I am going to get off this thread. What the heck is going on?
And...I hope you are feeling better.
See Post #12
I read it...........................
All that talk about poking a stick in your eye made me dyslexic. See Post #21.
LOL....we make a good pair. Okay ..I read it. But, the journalists and reporters are telling us what the doctors are telling them. Granted, alot of info is not being given but I believe that is at the direction of the Bush family. And I do apologize for the stick comment. I did show great restraint.I was going to say....I am going to put my lit cigarette out in my eyeball. I am so glad I did not publish That one, JouleZ!
The docs can’t talk to the media about his condition. HIPPA. The media can only report what the Bush Family approves and IF he passed already they may be taking their time for State Burial arrangements and the protocols etc.
This evening Stormin’ Norman passed so I may be right after all. The family wouldn’t want to share his Date of Death with another famous person. Just speculating.
Now, I’m going to smoke a cigarette with my glasses on for safety purposes. LOL
Good one! -—lol
Hope for the best for our dear former president...
LOL! Too funny. If President Bush should pass away tonight, I do believe it will be announced.
But he may have already passed on and Gen. Swartzkopf messed up the announcement. And IF he should pass on to heaven tonight...I say it won’t be announced until after midnight!
We are now fully into the macabre Dead Pool and I apologize for that. I need another smoke...it’s been a pleasure DallasSun.
FReepmail me your address and phone number. I’ll send the police and a psych team. Your cry for help won’t go unanswered.
That's a common occurrence unfortunately. But, the medical community is well aware of this problem.
Moving him to Intensive Care does not necessarily mean they are out of options. They are monitoring him closely.
If he's got some sort of resistant bacterial infection-they are probably going to want to use various different meds/combinations of meds to try and knock it out. All meds have side effects so the person needs to be watched closely for this reason too.
Prayers being said for president George H.W.Bush for a speedy recovery and for more time here on earth to be with his family, or, if his time is done here- for a peaceful transition home to the house of our Lord Jesus Christ, and comfort for his family- Amen
I'm younger than President Bush, but I have been going through that coughing, coughing, coughing since the week before Thanksgiving and I still have to take medicine to help relieve me from the incessant coughing.
Two trips to Emergency Clinic. Prescriptions written. Diagnosed with Viral Bronchitis/Acute Bronchitis.
Recommended trip to pulmonary doctor who confirmed acute bronchitis and with medications prescribed at emergency correct.
I need to return Jan. 9th for observation to pulmonary physician. If it becomes sufficiently worse, I need to make earlier appt. asap.
I had some elevation in fever/blood pressure but not like Mr. Bush is dealing with.
His situation is much more serious because of his age but I'm hopeful because he is in Methodist Hospital at the Medical Center in Houston.
I haven't been this sick in a long, long time.
My prayers for Mr. Bush and for his family - they have got to be extremely worried about his condition.
I did not know he was the youngest pilot in the Navy during WW2.
Not surprising...a patriot even in his younger days.
In that picture I can see the resemblance to George W. Another handsome fella' IMHO!
I agree. Not seen so many people this sick in a while.
BTTT.
