So would this mean if Obama came walking down your street or mind, that whatever weapons were owned by residents on said street, they would have to be surrendered first before “The One” deigned to walk down your street or mine?

It wouldn’t be a problem as you know every gun free zone is definitely free of guns - all would immediately give up every gun for the Pres. to walk by. It’s a mystery how mass killings are done in gun free zones but not in gun areas. Maybe someone will figure out why that is.

Er... didn't think of it that way. Knowing Obama double-speak, that's exactly what it could mean, especially considering these petitions are WhiteHouse.gov.

Question: Who originates these petitions? Can anyone, or are these put up by the White House itself?
