ALEXANDRIA, Va. (AP) -- Authorities say U.S. Sen. Michael Crapo has been arrested and charged with driving under the influence in a Washington, D.C. suburb.
Police in Alexandria, Va., said Sunday that the Idaho Republican was pulled over early Sunday morning after his vehicle ran a red light. Police spokesman Jody Donaldson said Crapo failed field sobriety tests and was arrested at about 12:45 a.m. without incident. He was transported to the Alexandria jail and released on an unsecured $1,000 bond at about 5 a.m..
Donaldson said he didn't immediately know what Crapo's blood alcohol level was.
Crapo has a Jan. 4 court date.
A Crapo spokesman couldn't be immediately reached for comment Sunday night.
Crapo has been in the Senate since 1998, and served for six years in the House before that.
One Dem Senator from MA was drunk and killed a woman.
He stayed in the Senate some forty more years, only leaving when he assumed room temperature.
Thought I read Crapo was a Mormon—don’t they refuse to indulge in adult beverages?

>>Why dont Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Churchs law of health and proper diet?
Our body is a precious gift from God. To help keep our bodies and our minds healthy and strong, God gave a law of health to Joseph Smith in 1833. This law is known as the Word of Wisdom (see Doctrine and Covenants 89:1-21).
In addition to emphasizing the benefits of proper eating and physical and spiritual health, God has spoken against the use of:
Tobacco.
Alcohol.
Coffee and tea.
Illegal drugs.

Yes, The Swimmer is the archetypical example of RAT ethics. As Sen. Crapo demonstrates, we all have feet of clay. Ted’s clay extended up to his armpits.
No, Montana has sh!thead.
Two of them in fact.
