The new charter was approved by 64 percent of Egyptian voters in a “resounding victory,” state news agency al-Ahram reported on Sunday.

Since Egypt is about 90% Sunni Muslim, it should be expected that put to a vote they would vote for an Islamic Government.

Those that would oppose it would be Infidels and Infidel supporters.
It will be easy for the fundamental Muslims to identify the Infidels and deal harshly with them.
The traitors in their Muslim ranks will be sorted out later, after the Infidels are dispatched. - Tom

You make a point that’s pretty obvious, but is appreciated only by the Islamists. The Left , AND the Islamists will always point to this as “democracy”, and who can deny a “democratic movement”? The call what they have a “Charter”, and that is a counterfeit “magic word”, even though their Charter is nothing like our Constitution or that of any
“democracy” in the West. Then again, our own Constitution is under seige from Obama and the Left, and we may be living through a historic phase where the whole idea and meaning of a “Constitution” and what “constitutes” it, is permanently under assault and aggressive challenge.
