Watching FNS as well. Kristol and Ingram still spouting their nonsense about tax increases. No mention of the impact on small business or the fact that the revenue raised from taxing the "rich" really doesn't raise much revenue. During the campaign Romney said that raising the tax rates on the 2% would cost 700,000 jobs. Is that true or not?

I find it surprising (not) that these so-called pundits don't understand that Obama is using the tax the rich issue to divide and destroy the GOP. He is not interested in reducing the debt and deficits. Obama wants to increase spending. Are the Reps supposed to roll over and accept that as well since the Dems won the election?

In fact, we have the status quo with the Reps in control of the House. Obama only received 51% of the vote in 2012 down in both percentage and votes he received in the 2008. The Reps should use the leverage it has or lose it in 2014.

Let's go over the cliff. We need a national discussion on the dire state of our fiscal problems. The vast majority of the public has been insulated from its effects. If the public wants the benefits of the welfare state, then they should be willing to pay for it. The increase in taxes on everyone come January 1 will help focus everyone's attention on our spending problem along with our revenue problem. They will have some real skin in the game. I see it as an opportunity for Reps not a calamity. It should be welcomed if our side was smart enough to use it.

We have a $3.7 trillion annual budget and the politicians cannot figure out how to reduce it by $100 billion a year under sequestration. Neither party really wants to reduce spending. We pay $220 billion a year now on just debt servicing costs.

Few have figured out that everything they do is politically based. Until we do.....

How dire would it be if we demanded that we live within our means. With only the revenue that we generate which is near 200 billion per month. And, never again allowed the debt ceiling to be breached?

Since the State Dept. issued their final summary on Benghazi(an Axelrod fairy tale IMHO,) does that mean its over and done with as far as any jeopardy for Hillary goes? Will she still have to testify if ordered to by Congress? How much longer do we have to force her to testify as head of the State Dept and not a private citizen?
