The sooner the better.

Don’t let the door hit you in the butt as you leave Boehner.

Good news if true. "Well-placed sources" could mean anything. One thing is certain that the GOPe will fight this to the bitter end.

There is, of course, no perfect leader but on his worst day Ryan would be a better choice than Boehner.

Every day in every way, I despise Boehner more and more. He is just another RINO surrender monkey.

By the way, where is Reince Pribus? He should go next.

All the damn RINO establishment leaders need to be purged from the GOP ranks.

My thoughts exactly.  I wanna see that chump humiliated for the war he waged on the Tea Party.

Only the Tea Party can save the GOP from itself.

I wouldn’t mind seeing this jerk replaced by one of the real Republicans he purged - like Bachmann.

Laura Ingraham is just such a beautiful, classy lady.

I especially admire the way the very single Miss Ingraham lets her good pal (and pal to Laura’s adopted Catholic kids) Tammy Bruce, a pro abortion lesbian, often take over her ‘conservative’ talk show. So Bruce is a lesbian in favor of killing babies in the womb? What’s the big deal between ‘buds’?/s

Would you have any second thoughts about Rush Limbaugh if he was single and often turned his show and thousands of listeners over to a pro abortion homosexual? And the same homosexual often spent time with Rush and his adopted kids?

Boehner must go, now.

Ryan is not a suitable replacement, nor is he an acceptable conservative.

Better late than never, I suppose. In a sane world, Ryan would have been the GOP nominee, Romney would have spent the last two years being as invisible as he is now and Boehner would have been selling insurance.

Beg to differ that he isn’t “a suitable ***replacement for Boehner***”.

If Boehner is to be replaced it would be by someone who a majority of House Republicans would support. If there are better candidates but they wouldn’t be supported by a majority of House Republicans then Boehner would either stay Speaker or else the House wouldn’t have a Speaker.

An opinion that he isn’t suitable for the Speakership is one thing, but I differ that he isn’t a suitable ***replacement for Boehner***.

That, he most certainly IS.

Could there be better candidates for the position of Speaker? Most certainly.

Ryan can at least face a camera and effectively communicate about what this nation faces in terms of a REAL, not phonied up, “fiscal cliff”.

He KNOWS, and can SPIT IT OUT. In Obama’s face or anyone else’s face. That is such an improvement on Boehner it is MASSIVE.

Ryan’s problem is that he’s a Boehner guy going way back...first volunteer political job as a college student in Ohio was to help Boehner get elected to his seat. When Boehner was young and Ryan was barely past alter-boy age.

Back then Boehner was running against the establishment as a small businessman who had seen the face of BIG GOVERNMENT and demanded change. That was all very long ago and far away from today, though, but Ryan has all along been the budget and fiscal geek dejour under Boehner’s wing.

So Ryan has not challenged the GOP House Establishment but has florished under it. Yet he KNOWS and GETS IT far more than his mentors do. It’s a bit of an unusual situation and I understand anyone who thinks there are anti-establishment types there who arguably would be a much stronger Speaker than would Ryan.

But Ryan as a ***replacement for Boehner***??

Most certainly!

Of course, he will come out and say he is not interested. Nothing will happen, Boehner will remain at the trough with the rest of the herd, and the GOP will slowly fade into oblivion. It didn’t have to be this way but somewhere along the line the GOP allowed themselves to be castrated.

Seems so appropriate for the GOP to replace a failed Speaker with someone who was just a member of a national ticket that had an election gift-wrapped for winning and blew it six ways from Sunday.

The GOPe gave us George Bush I, Bob Dole, John McCain, Mitt Romney. How well did they work out?

We must start doing things differently, including changing the two year primary cycle in which the media and rivals pick off each conservative front runner, leaving us with milquetoast RINO candidate survivor.

Remember, this Ryan thing is just a rumor, or as Laura put it, a "rumbling" in the House.

The reality is that Boehner is relatively safe. It's very hard to unseat an incumbent Speaker, barring high crimes and misdemeanors. So if a House group decides to take aim at Boehner, it better "kill" him. If this does not happen and the Speaker survives even though wounded, it bodes very ill for the rebels in the uprising.

The House Speaker hands out committee chairmanships and assignments.....and has a host of other goodies and punishments at his command.

A House member who opposed his re-election as Speaker will find he's on the Rural Cattle Gasses Committee for four years.....and his personal key to the House mens' room will be confiscated.

Mark Foley and Senator Craig gave us Pelosi and the moonbats. It was all about the gays lurking all over Congress in 2006.

BTW, 26 million Republicans who'd voted in 2004 DID NOT VOTE IN 2006 ~ Democrat voter fall off was far less than that.

Voters change parties only slowly, and then in large numbers. The way elections are lost after a big victory is your own voters just stay home. Republicans do not tolerate homosexuals in Congress. Democrats do tolerate them ~ they love them in fact ~ never saw anything finer if you ask them.

30 million Democrats who'd voted in 2008 DID NOT VOTE IN 2010 BTW, breaking the old record set by the Republicans just four years before.

Ryan is not any better than Bonehead. Boy Scout Ryan was worthless as VP candidate and could not even help losser-mitt carry WI. Besides being a glorified accountant and putting together a worthless fiscal plan, what the hell has Ryan done in his 13 years in the US House...he’s not the future, he needs to go back to WI!
