Thanks for the details. I'd say "fry the SOB". However this clemency is not about his obesity but about inadequate defense.

Kasich is not saying the guy is too fat to be executed like many of his attackers are claiming.

If we want to take issue with whether shoddy defense representation should, in itself, result in clemency, that's fine.

It bugs me though when the 480lb headline results in what I believe is a misguided argument and false accusations towards a good governor.

You may not know the full story. These facts about the case have been known for 30 years. Yet, there was no clemency in all that time, until a few months ago when Post’s attorney made a motion about him being obese. How come these facts never became relevant to the obesity argument? I think you are being naive. If other Ohio death row residents have good lawyers, they should be off death row by this time next year.
