I thought they fixed that back in the '40s. I guess smarter people figured out a better solution that results in worse casualties.

I've frequented places where squids congregate.

I don't expect they'll put up with this for long.

Waiting for a Chief rant.....3,2,1...

The Navy has always had the dumbest uniforms ever.

Thought they learned from the uniforms of the 1970s.

Are they going around this mountain again?
Back in the 80’s my husband had to purchase new uniforms because the cotton they had been using would burn.
Their solution was 100% polyester.
You would think there was at least one person in the Navy with some knowledge of textiles, and man made fibers.

Again? We went through this in the 80s with another uniform material that melted and burned. I realize that laundry aboard ship is a problem, but the Navy now seems primarily about looking good rather than fighting good.

I wonder who was the rocket scientists that thought of taking that requirement out ?

So...flammable AND butt-ugly to boot — ill-fitting and baggy, and in a color scheme I sure wouldn’t want to be wearing if I went overboard.

Reading about what has become of my beloved Navy is depressing as hell.
