I think Dick’s is making a BIG mistake.
Not only the loss in sales, but permanently estranging themselves from FORMER customers like me.
No need to shop there. I am boycotting the place. Although I hardly went there. But never planning to.
When I read what Dick’s Sporting Goods change in policy, I already decided I will never go back to that store to purchase anything again.

Just a guess here, but I wonder if the shooter’s mother bought her guns at Dick’s. There is one in the Danbury Mall which is about 10 minutes from Newtown. I live about 25 miles from there. Maybe Dick’s knows this and wants to get out in front of the story.
