“And here we are sweating loaded guns, when we should be focusing on unloaded mental health patients onto the streets.”

Bingo. When we accepted changing the language of concrete reality to that of soft euphemisms, we entered the era of accepting feelings as facts. Reality is no longer a fact, it’s a feeling.

Because of this we closed down viable institutions, not always perfect, but viable. And some “experts” came along and labeled the institutions as un-feeling, de-humanizing places and thought that the best place for the patients who lived there would be “the community”.

Once freed from these evil institutions, the “clients” would go to “community based clinics” and take their medication and take advantage of all of the services that the clinic would provide.

I can go and on and on, but you get the picture.

It failed, miserably. But no one will admit it.

It might make somebody feel bad.

I agree. Then you also had the Leftists putting out movies like “One Flew Over the CooCoo’s Nest” and everyone immediately vilified (in their own minds) electro-shock therapy.

Then folks were set up to think that mental health facilities were so mean, and vile.

Never-mind that some people can’t function without help like this.

Our Leftist media gets it wrong so often. It’s a real shame, and very destructive.
