Nothing criminal here on the part of the Teamsters, since they can do pretty much whatever they want in terms of the physical appearance of their own property. But it’s a clear violation of flag etiquette, and one more indication of their condescending attitude toward American tradition and American patriotism. They could be thumbing their noses at conservatives in general on the heels of the Michigan right to work controversy.

The unions are “international” while America is “national” so they think they’re superior.

That's one way of looking at, and they may have taken their formal name, "International Brotherhood of Teamsters," from the communist jargon - "international" and "brotherhood" - popular among labor unions in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century.

But for about a century or so, the American union movement has been pretty much divided between the unions dominated by communism and socialism and the unions dominated by organized crime. The Teamsters, with their legacy of Jimmy Hoffa and violence, fall into the latter classification, or so it would seem.

Wonder if they might be uncomfortable with "Brotherhood" in their name, since many on the left are into mandating "gender neutral" language.
