I was buying antifreeze the other day, next to the antifreeze were gas cans, prominently displayed on gas cans “gasoline and fire do not mix”- well DUH any moron knows gas and fire do not mix. Then it occurred to me that many morons are really maroons and need to be warned of this fact.

Thanks to the same litigious idiots you cannot buy a gas can that pours well anymore. All have "safety" widgets built into the spouts that are difficult to operate under normal circumstances but are next to impossible with gloved hands. You can't buy a normal spout anywhere at any price. A few years ago bid on several on EBAY only to find the listings pulled due to "product liability."

So I use a funnel and no spout, like my great-grandfather did. I suppose if certain people saw me defeating the "safety" feature I could be in for a hassle...or worse. It's nice, all this "progress" we are having.
