Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman, Connecticut independent, said Sunday the United States should restore a federal ban on assault weapons and also create a national commission on mass violence to examine gun laws, mental health laws, and the link between entertainment and violence in the wake of the deadly shootings in Newtown, Conn., that left 26 victims dead, including 20 children.

Let me see, if I burn all my guns, maybe it will stop lunatics from committing mass murder. If I burn my car, it will stop automobile accidents.
These people are so puerile, led by the Emotion Pimp who is triangulating into another entirely different objective - to make sure his “domestic police force” are the only civilians with weapons. I think Papa Doc did that with his Tonton Macoutes.
Why not just open back up the asylums for these people. But N-o-O-O! They want the psychos walking the streets to terrorize us so they can pass more feel good laws that do nothing.
Have you ever heard the term, “Poison Pill”?
I think we have the votes to get a CCW Amendment tacked to any “Assault Weapon” bill.
I think any CCW Amendment would guarantee Democrats turn against the final legislation.
