The problem with these immigrants is they tend to vote the same way as they did back home. Generally speaking, people that are willing to relocate to a whole new country will usually work hard. The problem is their ignorant voting patters simply continue in their new home. There are just a lot of people that move away from socialized places........and then ruin their new home by voting for the same leftist policies that they had to flee from in the first place. They simply do not connect their own voting patters with the failure of the places they come from.

sorry, you're projecting the US situation

In the EU, you don't have to migrate to work in another EU country.

The Portuguese, Greeks etc. will retain their Portuguese, Greek etc. citizenship and work and pay taxes in Germany

Most won't go for German citizenship as it doesn't really make much difference -- you can buy a house, drive a car etc. in another EU country.
