The GOP is going to have to frame this as a “mental health” and “gamer” issue to fight off gun control.

Asperger_syndrome
The selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) fluoxetine, fluvoxamine, and sertraline have been effective in treating restricted and repetitive interests and behaviors.[1][2][48]

Sedative side-effects in school-age children[93] have ramifications for classroom learning. Individuals with AS may be unable to identify and communicate their internal moods and emotions or to tolerate side effects that for most people would not be problematic.[94]

It was not the guns, but the un-managed pharmaceuticals

The gov’t will decide what is crazy. Being conservative will constitute being crazy. Also the healthcare law will make it mandatory to report gun ownership and anything the the gov’t healthcare workers deem as crazy will be reported and then the guns will be taken away.

Crazy people already aren’t allowed to have guns.

The boy was not concerned with laws. Only those who obey laws are concerned with laws.

I’m sure his mother was a responsible gun owner, she just found it harder to be as responsible for her guns after she was dead.

No responsible gun owner was responsible for those crimes, and no crazy gun owner was responsible for those crimes.

What’s so patheticaly sad about the human mind is that in cases such as this, where a horrible crime is committed and the criminal kills himself, the human mind then seeks to punish those who were not involved at all.

No, you don’t disarm the mother, but clearly, if her son is shown to have had a long history of violent mentally disturbed tendencies...can we at least place some legal blame on her for not securing her weapons?

Just putting it out there for discussion. Individual responsibility is the key...hers as well as this monster son of hers.

You are making the classic error that conservatives make when dealing with liberals.

You are confusing their text with their pretext. They want to grab your guns. Nobody really cares about these tragedies.

Look at the Monster who "doesn't want his daughter punished with a baby," who's the most radial pro-abortionist in politics-ever--and who coolly ignores the children dying of gun wounds from illegal guns in his old neighborhood in Chicago. Let's count up the children killed in his home neighborhood in 2012. He didn't shed any tears about them...

They will not be appeased by your concern because they are cold blooded ghouls who dream only of more power.

And they long to see us as helpless as possible.

Frankly, this is the popular culture's fault. I'll bet this guy was into the vicious porn on Comedy Central...

I’ll say one thing, Dad sure did a GREAT JOB of climbing the corporate ladder. Fantastic - lives in a multimillion dollar home with his new hottie.

Meanwhile, I wallow away at ground level with my kids.

...and would I trade places with him...LOL

We have seen this a lot in recent years.

Horsecrap. Give me a reference to a number of toddlers getting ahold of firearms and being injured.

that to fire they should be owner coded to fire...

And, if I bought a used weapon, which I have, some entity would have to change the owner coding. Who would that entity be?

And so many of these weird little ones get their attitude of smug sarcasm from the Daily Show.

Still, fifteen is a little young to give up on him. A lot of decent kids have to go through some obnoxious years.

By all account he was strange, difficult or weird. As a parent, I might well be concerned.

Give me an annual number. I can find numbers for child drownings, car deaths, etc... give me a number for shootings where children found a firearm. Otherwise, I call horsecrap. Emotional horsecrap, instead of facts.

No we don’t. On the other hand, do we want to allow the left to categorize a broad spectrum of our best and brightest as unfit to own weapons? Ah, no we don’t.

And that’s precisely what they’ll game this to achieve.

If you have an IQ over room temperature, there will be a real danger you’re just too smart and on the verge of being a psycho for you to own weapons.

The Left will never stop until we’re too smart, dumb, rich, poor, politically active, ‘driven’, to own weapons.

Shall we write her a ticket?

The solution to this is to fortify hard targets and make gun free zones illegal.

If you don’t want your kid shot to death while being defensless in a school, then do not send your kid to a defenseless school.

What if instead of a boy with two pistols, 32 mulims armed with machine guns and grenades invaded the school?

Whould people be calling for the illegalization of machine guns, grenades and muslims?

If something means something to you, then defend it and defend it hard. If you’d rather save the cost of defense, then that’s your call and your risk.

We live in a sick world and a sick country.

Agree on the deeper motives. I believe sometime, maybe not this time or the next, there will be a tipping point. I think Conservatives need to be ready.

That, at least is my nature. Do not let them catch you unaware.

I feel I have advanced some issues for consideration. I ‘m sorry you do not agree.

DoughtyOne, I have met you a number of times. I know you are smart and thoughtful. When you have time, maybe not now, read the whole thread.

I am fully aware of the slippery slope.

But my fingers are tired. :)
